Aeryn finds herself pulled from Earth to a sentient planet in search of a missing friend. Once there she is expected to leave behind her dreams of being a successful artist and, with the help of her friend, immerse herself in the natural world to become a sorcerer. Only then can she hope to rebuild the health of the planet and bring it back from the brink of disaster. But, not everyone wants her to succeed.
